(Unfortunately I have not more pictures to upload.)

BAD QUALITY XD

BACK SIDE

The last three weeks we were constructing clothes on mannequins so that to join the fashion show on week 13.
For my dress I used the military jacket and the pieces of the project with the PVA glue and the tights.
Also I used some extra tights that I cut and sewed so that to look like curls.
I pleated the green fabric but while wearing it it was hard to keep the shapes so I had to sew it.
The dress was made on my size so I could wear that outside.
My model was my friend Anthia. She does not have a model's body but she could express the feelings that I wanted to show.
I chose a simple make up and straight hair.
Dr Martin's boots were the most suitable pair of shoes for this dress.
This dress has girly as well as military style.
The neck is V and sexy.
Unfortunately there are no zoomed pictures to show the details.

Week 9

PLEATING

This week's lesson started with a lecture. It was a tutorial about pleating fabric. In the afternoon we had to make our own and experiment with the different textures. I chose to use a really thin blu fabric with holes.

Firstly I pleated two papers together.

Then I put the fabric in the middle of the papers and i made it to take the shape of the pleated papers.

After that I put pins on the bigest part of the paper and i scratched the three together

I tried to hold them together.

I ironed it and warmed it so that to make the fabric keep the shape that I gave it.

It is ready to see the result!

BUT IT IS A TOTAL FAIL!
THE FABRIC WAS SO THIN THAT COULD NOT KEEP THE SHAPE!

SO I tried to do it again with calico.

And yeah this was right! I had the results that i wanted! :)

This is my third try but this time i chose a more inspirational shape :)

AND THAT'S IT! :D

W7 Military Jackets Part 2

 Military Jackets Part 2

This week we worked as individuals. We had to cut again all the threads and cover again the chairs. After that we put it on a mannequin and then again on chairs. The result was to explore creativity through the different shapes that became. When we covered the chairs again we tried to make new big shapes with the garment. Unfortunately I was not fast enough so that to be able to try a second time the garment on the chair.

Here I left a piece uncovered so that to be easier for the model to wear that.

This is one detail that i made so that to be easier for the fabric to keep the shape when i was takingit off the chair.

Week 6 - Military Jackets!

Military Jacket

This week we worked as groups of two. We had to use Military Jackets to make a chair cover. Firstly we played with the Jackets. After that we took various of pictures to find different ways to present the forms of the them. At the next step we cut the threads and we separated the jacket's pieces. We covered chairs and then we put the creating on the mannequin.

This is the first sight of the Jacket as it was given to us.

These are some details that I captured so that to know how the Military Jackets are made.

Also I used sewing machine to make different shapes of some pieces of the garment
